Obituary for Ross Aylesworth

ROSS AYLESWORTH

JUNE 10, 1924 - AUGUST 2, 2018

Ross died on Thursday, August 2, 2018, after a “Rosco” day, driving his race red car to meet his lunch buddies, then home for a party with long time friends, Ross slipped away. His family was by his side and he truly lived life to the fullest to the very end.

Ross was born an entrepreneur. He followed his early passion for art by learning the sign lettering business and operating ‘Ross Aylesworth Signs’ for 65 years. He especially loved painting names on boats at Marina’s from Rockport to Collins Bay.

Ross loved life, had an amazing sense of humour and a quick wit which delighted everyone he came into contact with. Consequently, he had many friends, both young and old, who treasured time in his company and always came away feeling that their life was enriched by knowing Ross.

Cars were high on a long list of things Ross loved along with the St. Lawrence River, playing horse shoes, Bluegrass music, flower gardening and a good party!

Ross was predeceased by two sons Kim and Randall, his parents Wilbert & Mamie Aylesworth, brothers John and Mervyn and sister Betty (Harry) Revell.

Life will never be the same for his life partner Connie Johnson, his beloved son Marc (Amanda) and treasured granddaughters Olivia and Hilary. He will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. He will be sorely missed by Connie’s sisters, Darlene (Jerry) McGrath, Donna Johnson (Shayne Dark) and Dori (deceased) Alan Thompson and their families.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Ross’s life will be held Sunday, August 12, 2018, 2 to 4PM at Colonnade Golf & Country Club, 2789 Woodburn Rd, Joyceville, ON
